This fine GMC truck came from Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. They do not use salt out in the Nebraska Foothills, so when I found it, it had very minimal rust on it. The box, doors, bed rails, fenders, etc. were amazing. There was a very small rust pock in the floorboard on the driver’s side and it was repaired effectively. The engine was totally rebuilt with original equipment except I had a spicier cam installed instead of the original specs to give it a little more lumpy feel and a high volume fuel and oil pump. It turned out just right. The big block rumbles with the glass-packs and straight pipes out the side. The power steering was rebuilt; it has an entire new front end including rocker arms, bearings, brakes, etc, etc. The rear brakes were totally gone through and replaced with new bearings inside (axle) and out with new U-joints as well. New Delco Shocks all around.

Truck Box totally restored – with new oak wood kit from LMC Truck – Stainless Steel Rails and bolts – new bed mounting kit and bushings – frame sanded and restored to chassis black. It is a virgin and beautiful. Not a scratch in it….accent oak added to interior sides of the box for show. New lenses all around.

Here are the items that need attention….windshield washer pump, manual choke cable frozen. I have driven this truck over 3000 miles since engine/tranny rebuild and it runs perfect. The side pipes rumble with the thrush mufflers in between them and the manifolds. The last trip was over 700 miles from NW Iowa and this Big Block attained 14 MPG and I was cruising mostly over 70 mph. The fuel tank is new but it does need a new sending unit. It works sometimes and sometimes not…I just haven’t gotten to it.

I hate to see this old gal go, but we are buying a house next year and we need more cash for a 40% down payment. You will have a blast in this fine old truck and turn heads wherever you go…. Let me know if you have any questions. The truck is in the Indianapolis area south of the 465 loop about 3 miles near Southport Rd. on Hwy 37. Please call 712-229-0285 or email me for more pictures at joppenheimer@taylorfarms.com. I am a professional in business and I will not sell anything unless the buyer is completely satisfied with the purchase. I will answer all questions to the best of my knowledge and will not hide anything from you. I want you to be happy with your purchase. Good luck. Thank you for looking.
